Rafting in the Sea of Study
The summary of the Current Research about Public Archaeology in Foreign Country, Wei Qiaowei (110)
Keywords: public archaeology, interest, the Public, government
Abstract: When public archaeology was posed in 1970s, the meaning of public is always the core issue of public archaeology. Considering various interests of the Public, in which contains two different dimensions, the development of public archaeology in western academia can be divided into three phases: government involved, public involved, and public oriented. Nowadays, the key questions of public archaeology in Chinese academia, therefore, should be “presenting archaeology to the Public”

Discussion on the “kiln”, Bai Xianbo (115)
Keywords: kiln, type
Abstract: In order to describe those overall appearance same or similar kind porcelain, scholars use the word kiln, however with the development of modern archaeology, especially ceramic archaeological, scholars object the word kiln gradually. Based on reviewing the preciously existing results, I think use the word type to describe those porcelain overall appearance same or similar kind is better than the word kiln. Use the word kiln to describe the ancient kilns product long time, cover big area, the same time product characteristics, neighboring dynasties has obvious a series of inheriting relationship more appropriate.
