Exchange agreement signed between Palace Museum and Virginia Museum
From:CNTV.CN  Writer:  Date:2011-05-19

The Palace Museum and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in the U.S., signed a cultural exchange agreement on Saturday to begin a series of cooperative exchanges through March 2015.

The cooperation between the two museums is a historic partnership. "Treasures from the Forbidden City" will be a boon for Virginia Tourism. And Virginia's Governor said the exchanges will allow the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to showcase part of its magnificent collection in the most visited museum in the world.

If the cooperation goes well, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, one of the finest museums in the US, will be the first US museum to present an exhibition at the Palace Museum in 2013.

At that time, some of the precious treasures will be showcased in Virginia.
