1996-1998: Participating in and then directing the excavations of the palace complex of the Yanshi City Site (Shang Dynasty), Henan Province, China.
1989: Obtaining a diploma from the Archaeologist Training Program of State Administration of Cultural Heritage, China.
1987/1989/1991-1992: Co-directing the excavations of the Dinggong Walled Site (Longshan culture) in the Zouping County, Shandong Province, China.
