Relics from Liangzhu Culture Museum displayed in Taiwan
From:  Writer:  Date:2010-06-11

Set on a former industrial site once isolated from the town of Yuhang in Zhejiang province, the Liangzhu Culture Museum provides a contemporary home for an ancient civilization that can be dated back to 3,000 BC. Recently, the museum is packing up some of its state-of-the-art collections for an exhibition in Taiwan.

As an important part of the cultural communication trip from Zhejiang province to Taiwan, the Liangzhu Culture Museum will hold an exhibition of Liangzhu jade culture across the strait. 118 pieces of fine art wares will be sent, including jade bracelets, jade disks, jade tablets, ivory, lacquer, and black-burnished pottery, each carefully folded and packed against all possible risks.

Starting from this month, these ancient artwares will be on display to the public in Taiwan's Shisanhang Museum of Archaeology.
