Museum visitors peak over the weekend in Harbin
From:Xinhua News  Writer:  Date:2008-02-27

Four museums and memorials in northeast Chinese city of Harbin received record high numbers of visitors last weekend since they became free last Thursday.

The Harbin Daily reported that around 10,000 people visited Heilongjiang Province's integrated museum located in Harbin, the provincial capital, on Saturday and Sunday.

The four museums and memorials include Heilongjiang's provincial museum, northeast China's martyr memorial hall, a museum exhibiting folk culture and a memorial hall that displays photos of late Chinese leaders' visits to Heilongjiang, including that of late Chairman Mao Zedong and Premier Zhou Enlai.
