Ancient tower undergoes repairs in Sichuan
From:People's Daily  Writer:  Date:2016-11-16
The tower, located in the city of Mianyang, Sichuan province, is currently being repaired. Pingyangfujun Tower has been included on the State Council's list of nationally protected cultural relics since 1961. It is key to the study of architecture, art, religion and social life in the Eastern Han Dynasty. At the time, such towers were erected next to palaces, temples and graves to illustrate owners’ social status.
